Congratulations to the ADRM....again!! (Read 5,180 times)

	Congratulations to Doug Robb and his Team of dedicated volunteers and supporters who have succeeded in getting the Air Defence Radar Museum (ADRM) selected as a finalist in the Regional Awards for Excellence in the Small Visitor Category (again!). The winner will be announced at a black tie function at the end of October. This is the one that the Musuem need to win as it automatically enters the Museum in the National Award next April. Keep your fingers crossed!!

	Last night Doug Robb attended the Regional Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2008 at Ickworth House, Suffolk. Whilst they were not fortunate enough to win in the category Small Visitor Attraction (under 100,000 visitors) the Museum was awarded a Highly Commended. (In effect, that means someone else won Gold and they got the Silver.) Since 2001, the Musuem has won either Gold or Silver every year except 2003 (as winners for the previous 2 years we were barred from entry) and in addition have won Silver in 2002 and Gold in 2007 at national level. I think this is an incredible achievement and one which we should all be really proud of! Well done ADRM.

	It certainly is an excellent achievement and an indication of the tremendous effort and dedication of the team that maintains the ADRM's existence. I'm looking forward to our visit next year Jan
