Mrs Hazel Gregory sadly died on August 16th.  Hazel was a Plotter at Headquarters 11 Group at RAF Uxbridge during the Battle of Britain. She served at HQ 11 Group for the whole period of the Battle and most significantly was on duty on the 15th September 1940 and was an involved 'witness' to all the most significant raids that took place that day.  She also remembered well the visit by Winston Churchill and recalled that he spoke to them all before they went off duty, congratulating them on the job they had done that day and telling them they had witnessed something very significant to tell their grandchildren about.  Rest in Peace Hazel, your contribution to the safety and security of our nation will not be forgotten.
